Debi's story

Through attending the Tap Yourself Slim programme I have shed over a stone in weight, and am no longer ruled by food.

Before joining the programme I was in an unrewarding relationship. I felt fat and unattractive. I wasn't being true to myself and was comfort eating to make myself feel better.

I had realised that I was putting on weight each year and at 43 yrs felt that it wasn't going to get any better so I was thinking of going to a slimming club even though I knew that it wouldn't suit me. I find that kind of approach humiliating. Then a friend told about Linda and Tap Yourself Slim .

Naomi's Story

The biggest benefit of the course is that I have managed to control my eating and recognise when I am really hungry for food and when I am just bored. I used to turn to food for comfort, when I was bored, sad and lonely being afraid to eat.

I have been amazed at how much more positive I have felt about myself and how I have overcome my fear of food. I became more confident in myself and how I was feeling. Food has been a big issue throughout my life and I have always turned to it to make me feel better. At the time it helps but afterwards when you are feeling bloated and sick and the weight starts to creep on it just makes you feel worse. I am starting to believe in myself. It has helped me with my long term depression.

July 2010 update I have made some huge changes in my life since attending your classes.  The difference in my self confidence is phenomenal.  My attitude towards food has completely changed.  I enjoy eating now and have changed my eating habits since training – I do still have the odd “naughty” thing but I have so much more self control.  I have eaten crisps again but not many and I don’t keep eating them like I did before I am able to just have a few and be happy with that, to be honest I don’t enjoy them as much. I have been going to a fitness instructor 3 times a week for the past 10 weeks and am hoping to do the Great North Run in September. Thank you Linda I couldn’t have got this far without your help and wisdom.

Sue's story

Through following the Tap Yourself Slim programme I've learned a huge amount
about myself & why I was overeating and how to overcome those triggers.

Before joining the programme I suffered from poor self-image, lethargy/tiredness, lack of motivation and obviously excess weight mainly through eating too many carbs especially in the evening. I am 56 and my BMI was just into the obese range, which horrified me. I needed/wanted to lose 2.5 to 3 stone.

I first met Linda at a couple of Mind Body Spirit fairs and was attracted to the idea as I have used EFT at a basic level for some time and knew that it works, but I felt I needed to learn much more about the words used.

After the first session I stopped wanting chocolate!

Rachel's story

I have lost nearly two stones using the tapping procedure, but what is even more brilliant and a bigger benefit is that I have found a solution to the many and intense anxiety and worrying thoughts I used to have. I now hardly ever feel anxious and if I do I tap those anxious feelings away! It's brilliant - I have now learned EFT and use it everyday as a spiritual growth tool and benefit from it everyday!

Before I joined the programme I was eating a lot and was not in control of the amounts or types of food I was eating. Even though I wanted to lose weight I couldn't stop myself from eating loads and then feeling guilty about it. I didn't realise I was eating to stuff down the anxious feelings I was having about wanting to be a good mum, as I'd recently become a mother.

My friend Katherine told me that she had started the Tap Yourself Slim course...

Katherine's story

I put on a lot of weight during pregnancy over five years ago. Although I was able to lose small amounts of weight periodically, I was struggling to achieve consistent weight loss.

I heard about Tap Yourself Slim but I was sceptical at first even though I am open to energy medicine. I just couldn't see how tapping would make any difference and initially my scepticism put me off joining the class. What I didn't realise at first was that the TYS programme brings together all the necessary aspects of losing weight.

On the first evening we tapped on food cravings. I was finding it hard to stop snacking in the evenings so I focussed on that. This worked straight away and I easily stopped eating in the evenings. I lost weight straight away.

Judith's story

Life is a big challenge. I tended to overeat no matter what the occasion or emotion was.......   usually "filled the space" with food.

I heard about you from a friend who had tapped with you for a different reason. She knew that you were starting a Tap Yourself Slim class and told me about it. I had watched a bit of the Paul McKenna programme on the TV last year. I thought that it was interesting but it seemed too good to be true...... made up for TV!!   The Tap Yourself Slim classes sounded a bit similar so I decided to see if it really worked.......  but, I was a little sceptical about it.

Alistair's story  I heard about TYS from friends who were walking adverts and they were my main reason for joining.  I joined the TYS programme in April 09 and lost a stone in weight and 22 inches from my body.  And because I now observe my real needs it’s been easy to continue to lose weight since the programme finished.

Before joining TYS I would eat for all reasons except physical hunger! I had an addiction to Mayonnaise and much of the time I didn’t really notice what I was eating.  And I didn’t like the look of my body.  Click here to read more: Click here

Pippa's Story  My weights tends to go up and down like a yoyo and I wanted to find a slimming programme which allowed me to maintain my weight without having to be on a permanent diet. Having attended the free trial session I decided Tap Yourself  Slim could be the answer!

After the first session I didn't fancy crisps anymore! I realised that by tapping I could control my cravings and I was delighted this was possible without having to use the word diet!  Click here to read more: Pippa's story

Jan's Story

I really enjoyed the Tap Yourself Slim program and learnt so much about my emotions and why I was eating excessively and chasing after unhealthy foods to satisfy my immediate needs. Now I am aware of this I can manage my eating more appropriately.

The biggest problem I had before joining the TYS program was to find a way of eating that was healthy, not faddy and that I could calmly stick to without getting fed up with it and blowing it completely yet again. I had heard about EFT and was also keen to know how it could address other life issues, as I realized that the overeating was tied up with these issues.

I am always busy which is good but I used to have a problem with relaxing and would eat too much.  The programme was very affordable so I signed up. For me it took 2-3 weeks for everything to kick in then I started to notice my behaviour toward food changing. Many people didn’t think I needed to lose weight but I know I was almost a stone heavier than I used to be.

The difference for me between this programme and diets is that by doing Tap Yourself Slim I know I could have it but didn’t want it … not like a diet when you want but can’t have.   I regained my old attitude back about food and stopped being so greedy.  And it was easy to lose weight.
