Naomi’s Story

The biggest benefit of the course is that I have managed to control my eating and recognise when I am really hungry for food and when I am just bored. I used to turn to food for comfort, when I was bored, sad and lonely being afraid to eat.

I have been amazed at how much more positive I have felt about myself and how I have overcome my fear of food. I became more confident in myself and how I was feeling. Food has been a big issue throughout my life and I have always turned to it to make me feel better. At the time it helps but afterwards when you are feeling bloated and sick and the weight starts to creep on it just makes you feel worse. I am starting to believe in myself. It has helped me with my long term depression.

I found Linda to be extremely approachable and very knowledgeable it was as though she could read my thoughts and knew exactly what to say when it came to the tapping statements. Linda has helped me to get to the root of the problem and deal with the issues that I have been avoiding for so long. She has been extremely supportive and understanding and made the evenings enjoyable and interesting.

I am very interested in alternative therapies and they tend to work better for me than more traditional methods so it was easy for me to join Tap Yourself Slim. I liked to think I kept an open mind but I am sure deep down there was a thought about “How can this work?”

I haven’t eaten any crisps since the first evening. I was addicted to them and would often eat 4 or 5 packets a time. They now taste like I am eating cheap cooking oil. I have gone for 9 weeks without eating them and have no plans to eat them again soon. So far I have lost 5lbs and about 6 inches but haven’t quite finished the programme yet.

The programme is run in a lovely relaxed setting and the notes have all been very useful. It was helpful having a folder with all the information in one place. I look forward to attending the support groups from time to time.

I have met some lovely people through the course and my mum has noticed a big difference in me, she commented that I appear much happier now and more relaxed. I will definitely continue with the tapping as it has been very beneficial

For anyone thinking of joining Tap Yourself Slim I would recommend they gave it a try it is worth the money and can help with so many things.

The principles of EFT are very simple and they have become a part of my life. I have really enjoyed the course and feel like a new person.  I hope that others will follow in my footsteps and realise what a great thing tapping is to help with all sorts of issues.
