Katherine’s Story

I put on a lot of weight during pregnancy over five years ago. Although I was able to lose small amounts of weight periodically, I was struggling to achieve consistent weight loss.

I heard about Tap Yourself Slim but I was sceptical at first even though I am open to energy medicine. I just couldn’t see how tapping would make any difference and initially my scepticism put me off joining the class. What I didn’t realise at first was that the TYS programme brings together all the necessary aspects of losing weight.

On the first evening we tapped on food cravings. I was finding it hard to stop snacking in the evenings so I focussed on that. This worked straight away and I easily stopped eating in the evenings. I lost weight straight away. The tapping offers a quick relief to food cravings which made a real quick start to losing weight. This convinced me that the tapping was something extraordinary and to continue doing it, no matter what!

I use tapping for everything now. I’ve seen it work for headaches, realeasing negative emotions like anxiety. I’ve also used it with my five year old son and it’s brilliant.

I lost 15lbs on the programme and have steadily lost weight since. The principles taught are now a way of life to me and I can’t imagine it being any other way.

I’ve lost 2 stone 5 lbs since joining the programme and am now at my goal weight. In fact I now weigh less than I did before I became pregnant and I feel fantastic.

The support group was very welcome after the programme finished. I was enjoying the programme so much I didn’t want it to end, in fact I had to tap on that issue too! The support group sessions helped me stay focussed and committed, but most of all they helped me reach my overall goal.

A lot of people may think the concept ‘too good to be true’. I agree it is strange but I can definitely vouch for it being very very true. I encourage everyone to try it as you’ve got nothing to lose – except weight, and you can have a lot of fun doing it.

The only thing I’d add is that it works best when you do some daily tapping, if not, you don’t give it a chance to work.

Linda, my TYS slimming coach, always knows just what to say – she’s very gifted in EFT and specifically in conveying the weight loss principles. She also has a fabulous sense of humour, making sure you just won’t want the programme to end!

I also liked how you had the opportunity to have some individual tapping each week on anything that you were particularly struggling with. Therefore you have the benefit of being in a small group and feeling the support of others plus you get some individual attention. Excellent.
