Let’s face it, diets don’t work.
You may be one of a growing number of people who are realising that conventional diets don’t work. You may lose weight in the short term, but the feelings of deprivation soon become too much. When this happens willpower alone is not enough to overcome the cravings and old eating habits soon return. The weight piles back on again and often more than you lost.
Why diets don’t work.
The reason diets don’t work is that they don’t tackle the reasons why we find it so difficult to eat only an amount of food that our body needs to be fit and healthy. Why is it so difficult? Those who struggle with their weight often eat when emotionally hungry rather than when they are physically hungry. That is, they eat when they are bored, upset, anxious, stressed, angry etc. The so called ‘comfort eating’.
Diets don’t tackle the emotional aspect of over eating.
